How We Measure Impact
As a new publication, Global Brief Wire does not yet have a multi-year track record to report. The case studies below illustrate the methodology and metrics we will use to evaluate our own content — replace with real performance data as it becomes available.
Case Study Framework: Evergreen Explainer Performance
Methodology: For each cornerstone explainer (e.g. our planned “AI vs Machine Learning” comparison), we will track organic search impressions, average position, featured-snippet capture, and time-on-page over a rolling 12-month window from Google Search Console and analytics.
What we will report: Whether explanatory, evergreen content sustains or grows search visibility over time compared to single-event news coverage — the central thesis behind our editorial strategy.
Case Study Framework: AI Answer Engine Citation Tracking
Methodology: We will periodically query ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude with representative definitional and comparison questions in our coverage areas, logging whether Global Brief Wire is cited as a source and what content format earned the citation.
What we will report: Which content structures — glossary entries, comparison tables, FAQ sections — are most frequently surfaced by generative AI tools, to refine our GEO approach over time.
